چکیده
Abstract Urban vulnerability has many facets. Among these, urban texture and plot pattern, building massing density, greatly affect the microclimate. Thence, redefining regeneration design criteria for climate neutrality is crucial, including environmental factors in process at different scales. In light of change, despite this urgent call, adaptive approaches useful to assess trade-offs between scenarios microclimate quality are lacking. This paper introduces a novel digital workflow that integrates associated indicators design, adopting cross-scale approach. The main goal increase resilience built environment foresight future scenarios, by promoting climate-sensitive solutions. Integrating Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation with Urban planning for a Livable city in Tehran
Climate change impacts are seen within growing numbers of cities in low- and middle-income countries, so there is growing interest in the adaptation and mitigation plans and programs put forward by city authorities. This paper aims to provide a better understanding of the constraints which cities face them in this subject by analyzing the case of Tehran. City has a commitment to decentralizatio...

متن کاملUrban Resilience in Climate Change Adaptation: A Conceptual Framework
This study presents a conceptual framework for analyzing urban resilience in the context of climate change. The key conceptual elements of resilience are first identified and then reorganized with a focus on cities and climate change adaptation. This study covers not only ecological and engineering resilience but also resilience as a sociopolitical process from an evolutionary perspective. The ...
متن کاملEconomic assessment of climate adaptation options for urban drainage design in Odense, Denmark.
Climate change is likely to influence the water cycle by changing the precipitation patterns, in some cases leading to increased occurrences of precipitation extremes. Urban landscapes are vulnerable to such changes due to the concentrated population and socio-economic values in cities. Feasible adaptation requires better flood risk quantification and assessment of appropriate adaptation action...
متن کاملUrban Weather Generator – a Novel Workflow for Integrating Urban Heat Island Effect within Urban Design Process
It is well known that local urban heat island (UHI) effects impact the urban environment from a public health standpoint and with regards to heating and cooling energy used by buildings. Unfortunately, neither urban planners and designers nor energy consultants currently have quantitative tools or methods at their disposal to incorporate this effect into the design of a neighborhood. This manus...
